‘Buhari’ dog owner finally released from jail.

Joe Chinakwe, the man who named his dog ‘Buhari’, the name of Nigeria’s president has been released after meeting his bail conditions.
The trader was arraigned before Bolaji Ojikutu of Sango-Otta Magistrate’s Court on Monday morning and was subsequently granted a N50,000 bail.
Chinakwe met his bail conditions on Wednesday after a human rights lawyer,Inibehe Effiong coordinated a fund raising that generated about N90,000. He was released around noon on Thursday and
went straight to his residence in Sango-Otta, Ogun State.
Chinakwe was arrested on August 14 when one of his neighbour’s made a complaint to the police that he named his dog after his uncle ‘Alhaji ‘Buhari’.
