EFCC boss Magu needs to know the mission statement of EFCC..

The arrest of a Nigeria blogger Abubakar Usman by officers of Economic and Financial Crime Commission came to me as shocker leaving me with so many questions running through my busy brain. One was that the blogger got  involved in a dirty business and it back fired. Another question came to my mine was that the blogger wrote a story exposing financial fraud. These reasons should only be the basis for the arrest of this blogger.

The EFCC came under serious fire when Nigerians took to social media demanding for the unconditional release of the blogger by the Commission. After a while the commission released a statement through its spokesman Wilson Uwujaren that the blogger was arrested for cyberstalking. The spokesman said the blogger committed cyber crime but failed to tell Nigerians the particular section of the cyber crime Act the blogger breached.
It is a known facts by Nigerians who are active readers of Usman's blog that before his arrest, he published a story about Magu the EFCC chairman. In the post titled.‘EFCC boss, Magu, commences total war with core EFCC staff’ on August 2, 2016.
The report stated that members of staff at the EFCC were complaining that they were being bullied by Magu.
It accused Magu of corruption, and of being jittery about the delay in his confirmation by the Senate.
The mission statement of EFCC is To rid Nigeria of Economic and Financial Crimes and to effectively coordinate the domestic effort of the global fight against money laundering and terrorists financing. The statement of the commission never stated that the commission should go after Nigerians who wrote articles exposing the wrong doings of public office holders.
