Nigerian Artist E'Prince has brought to the notice of the general public that a Jos based artist is impersonating him. In his words (E'PRINCE).
"There is a guy in Jos that decided to pirate me again..This has happened several times in the past and I have ignored but this time its more annoying because he decided to use my brand name E'prince. His sole purpose is to steal from the fruits of my labour via the brand (E'prince) that I
have invested so much creativity, talent, time and money into building. Someone called me yersterday and said "baba you dey drop new song?I no feel this artwork wey you use oo" I asked him to send the artwork. One glance at it and I saw the scam, an impersonator claiming to be me. I remember reaching out to this same impersonator some months ago on using the name (Eprince) and he agreed to drop it since I have already gained popularity with it and we are from the same location (Jos) but maybe its a case of a thief will always be a thief because he went ahead..............
E'Prince wrote posted this on his facebook as a disclaimer. He went ahead to warn the general to beware of this imposter...
I this it is high time artist start registering their brand name to avoid identity theft.....
