#ChangeBeginsWithMe: Here’s how this young man kicked-off the campaign.

Though he did not say say so and in fact the letter was written before Information Minister, Lai Mohammed announced the #ChangeBeginsWithMe campaign, Abolarin Akin Jephthah’s action screams everything the Presidency wants us to do.
Abolarin withdrew voluntarily from the University of Ilorin, Kwara State and wrote a letter dated 5th August, 2016 to the school, with reasons being a certificate obtained by examination malpractice.#ChangeBeginsWithYou
This is certainly an uncommon thing. In a nation where there is already a deficit in admissions into tertiary institutions. The scenario gets even worse when one considers how many students try get into the University of Ilorin every year. One only has to witness the Post-UTME admissions crowd every year at the University.
But all that aside, what could have possessed a young man, already deep into his programme with just a session to go before graduation, to out himself in such a manner?
Abolarin attributes his bravado to a new re-connection with God. He explains that he could not conscientiously continue the programme knowing his ‘foundation’ is faulty.
Finding solace in the probability that he’s helping the school by saving them the trouble of expelling him. The University of Ilorin has a notorious track record of zero tolerance for malpractice.
Often the culprits are called out and thrown out just before graduation. So maybe Abolarin chose a more honourable path.
Whatever the case and whichever theory is right, there is no denying that Abolarin’s brave act is a testament to the fact that the recently launched #ChangeBeginsWithMe campaign might actually work.
Nigeria needs more of honest citizens like Abolarin.

CAN YOU DO THIS????
