University of Jos inducts medical doctors.

THE University of Jos, Plateau State has inducted one hundred and eleven graduating Medical Doctors under the Faculty of Medical Sciences for 2016 set who have qualified to practice the profession.
The Vice Chancellor, University of Jos, Prof. Sabastine Maimako who disclosed this during an
induction ceremony for the graduands stated that the university has been growing over the years in the number of programmes offered, saying dentistry was one of them, where the first set of students in 2015/2016 were admitted.
According to Maimako, some investment has been put in the faculty by the government through the University of Jos to bring up the inductees and advised the doctors to render effective and selfless services to the society.
He stressed that the four (4) projects at the new college permanent site Lamingo Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) was brought on board to ease the accommodation problems of clinical Department, and disclosed that a 1,200 new capacity Multi-purpose Lecture Theatre for Medical microbiology Laboratory would soon be completed at Lamingo campus.
The Vice Chancellor used the occasion to appreciate the efforts of the Dean Faculty of Medical Science, Natural Science and Pharmaceutical Sciences for training the doctors and urged them to do more in impacting on the lives of the university students.
There were goodwill messages from the Dean Faculty of Medical Science, Prof. Simon Seddi J. Yiltok, as well as Dr. Danlami Lenkop who was the award recipient at the occasion.
