ICT Officer 2 Recruitment at TAC Professional Services

Our client is one of the leading names in the insurance industry
in Nigeria. They are looking to recruit competent and
experienced ICT Professionals.
To be successful on this role you must be able to combine
sound ICT skills & personnel management.
Position Title: ICT Officer 2
Job Responsibilities

Develop standards and guidelines to guide the use and
acquisition of software and to protect vulnerable
information.
Modify existing databases and database management
systems with the approval of departmental head.
Test programs or databases, correct errors and make
necessary modifications using the approve change process
Plan, coordinate and implement security measures to
safeguard information in computer files against accidental or
unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure.
Approve, schedule, plan, and supervise the installation and
testing of new products and improvements to computer
systems, such as the installation of new databases after
proper approval from the Head of the Departmental.
Train users and answer questions. Provide manuals where
necessary.
Maintain users and user access levels for each segment of
database.
Review workflow charts developed and update as required
with the approval of departmental head.
Develop methods for integrating different products so they
work properly together, such as customizing commercial
databases to fit specific needs.
Review project requests describing database/Software user
needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish
project.
Review procedures in database management system
manuals for making changes to database.
Work as part of a project team to coordinate database and
software development and determine project scope and
limitations.
Skills/Competence Requirement
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge and understanding of Oracle Database, Crystal
report, SQL, Windows Operating system, Active Directory and
other network components.
Knowledge and understanding of insurance business
Strong strategic orientation
Ability to provide creative solution to any issue on his
responsibilities
Good management and administrative capabilities
Good interpersonal skills
Sound computing skills
Ability to work well with the team
Qualifications & other requirements:
a. Significant progression in obtaining a professional
qualification will be an advantage.
b. First Degree BSc minimum of Second Class Honours, Upper
Division of HND Upper Credit
c. Minimum 1-3 years post-graduation work experience.
