PLSG signs MoU on housing.

PLATEAU State government has signed another Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with two coy IDs Ltd and OBC engineering company to build 5,000 housing units for citizens, especially civil servants in the state.
The MoU was signed by the commissioner of Housing and Urban Development in the state Arch Samuel Galadima, on behalf of the state
government held at the ministry of Housing and Urban Development Conference Hall in Jos.
Arc. Galadima while speaking at the occasion said Governor Lalong is committed to delivering affordable housing scheme to the people of the state and I believe this is the beginning of good and people oriented projects that would happen under the Rescue Administration of Governor Simon Lalong”.
Galadima revealed that different classes of residential buildings would be developed; assuring that there would be no preferential treatment in allocating the houses.
Earlier in his remark, the Director the Urban Development Barr. Nanmen Gamde disclosed that the two companies involve in the signing of the MOU were “IDS LTD which is one of the indigenous company, while OBC engineering is a German company”.
He said the two companies were to build 5,000 housing units in the state which was in line with the design of the Jos master plan for the housing scheme, adding that if completed the beauty of the city would be fulfill as expected.
He added that the two companies were among the many that have already signed the MoU in August 2016, but could do so due to some technical issues.
In their separate remarks the Managing Director of IDS Ltd Arch James Ugo promised not to let the government of Plateau State down, adding that his company was well known for estate development and deliver to the state his best.
The representative of the OBC engineering company Arch Wilson Onwuchekwa commended the effort of the Plateau State government forgiving his company, the opportunity to give the state their best, adding that the German company was well known for construction and quality work and assured the government of quality work.
